Wedding Wednesday: Centerpieces are Done!

…and I have only seven paper flowers left to make: the boutonnieres for him, the groomsmen, and our dads. However, I have finished all of the other flowers: the centerpieces, the bridesmaids bouquets, and my bouquet.

Please ignore the mess on the left side of the table. My Maid of Honor came over on August 22 and we tied up the rest of the flowers and put all of the centerpieces in their vases.

I know I mentioned the bouquets, but I haven’t quite finished them yet so I’m not adding pictures until I do that. This was just intended to be a quick update post to show off my flowers and celebrate the fact that I have finished the vast majority of them.

So far, I have made 519 flowers, judging by the number of floral wire stems I have used (I counted how many I had left and subtracted that from the number I know I bought). I have seven more to go, so by the time this whole thing is said and done I’ll have made 526 flowers.

…Unless, of course, I decide to be crazy and make a single white paper rose for every person in attendance as their favor, since we had to cancel our photobooth due to the pandemic. We’ll see.

I’ll be doing some sort of wrap-up post when I’m finally done with all of the flowers that takes into account the budget and the time that I have spent doing this project, so look forward to that in the coming weeks, once I’ve finished the bouquets and the boutonnieres!

If you’ve got any questions about the paper flowers, go ahead and let me know in the comments!

And as always, keep reading.
